All for all intents and purposes, it seems to be equal to the previous Blu-Ray in every way based on what Ive read. Unlike the Rewind Collection, neither of the lines are numbered. MVD Rewind Collection, which is quickly becoming a personal favorite distributor of mine, has given this forgotten cult-film a new release.

DRIVE: Director’s Cut (1997) Synopsis A prototype enhanced human from Hong Kong enlists help from a hostage and a free-spirited woman to evade killers-for-hire in a race against time in order to get from San Francisco to Los Angeles. At Close Range arrives on Blu-ray from the MVD Rewind Collection framed at 2.35.1 widescreen in a gorgeous AVC encoded 1080p high definition transfer on a 50GB disc that offers a very impressive upgrade over the previous DVD release from MGM and seems to mirror the out of print release from Twilight Time. The other one, MVD Classics, will feature more obscure movies which may be released on DVD if an HD master isn't available. will also release on standard edition DVD. The line includes new to Blu-ray movies as well as re-releases of out of print titles.

MVD Rewind has given it a definitive release with a new 2k scan and a new version of the film, plus the original 2005 version and a couple of new features in an impressive package. The first one, MVD Marquee Collection, features Blu-ray releases of catalog titles that were too new to be considered cult. Abominable is a solid attempt at a Bigfoot monster film with practical effects and its a well-crafted feat. In 2018, MVD announced they would add two new labels.
